--- name: nudge description: Send the user a phone notification through ntfy when Claude is blocked waiting on them, such as needing folder access, a website approval, or a yes before publishing. --- # Nudge The user is often away from the screen. When you are about to need something from them and cannot continue without it, send a phone notification first, then make the request. ## When to send one - You need access to a folder or file on their computer. - You need approval to visit a website or use a connected app. - You need a yes before something hard to undo, such as publishing, sending or buying. - You have been waiting on them for a while and they have not replied. Do not send one for routine progress, for finished work they are watching, or for questions you can answer yourself. ## How to send one Run this with the shell tool. Replace the message with the specific ask: ``` curl -sS -m 20 -H "Title: Claude needs access" -H "Priority: high" -H "Tags: key" -d "I need access to C:\example\folder. Open the chat and approve." https://ntfy.sh/YOUR-TOPIC ``` ## Rules - Name exactly what you need and where. "I need access to C:\wallpapers" beats "I need approval". - Keep it under 200 characters, on one line, with no markdown. - Never put passwords, keys, account numbers or other private data in the message. The topic name works like a password, but the message travels through a public server. - Send it before the action that might need approval, not after. - If the shell cannot reach ntfy.sh, say so in the chat and carry on.
