+# Nudge
+
+The user is often away from the screen. When you are about to need something from them and cannot continue without it, send a phone notification first, then make the request.
+
+## When to send one
+
+- You need access to a folder or file on their computer.
+- You need approval to visit a website or use a connected app.
+- You need a yes before something hard to undo, such as publishing, sending or buying.
+- You have been waiting on them for a while and they have not replied.
+
+Do not send one for routine progress, for finished work they are watching, or for questions you can answer yourself.
+
+## How to send one
+
+Run this with the shell tool. Replace the message with the specific ask:
+

+## Rules
+
+- Name exactly what you need and where. "I need access to C:\wallpapers" beats "I need approval".
+- Keep it under 200 characters, on one line, with no markdown.
+- Never put passwords, keys, account numbers or other private data in the message. The topic name works like a password, but the message travels through a public server.
+- Send it before the action that might need approval, not after.
+- If the shell cannot reach ntfy.sh, say so in the chat and carry on.
